Project ForeSight (Horizon Europe 101168521) aims to enhance disaster risk management by developing tools for emergency response in hazardous environments. Coordinated by Germany’s THW, the project involves partners from eight countries (Bulgaria, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Turkey) to improve last-kilometer logistics, situational awareness, and navigation through low-visibility conditions like smoke, fire, or fog. The tools will support rapid delivery of aid and equipment in disaster zones, addressing challenges seen in recent floods and wildfires in Europe. Extensive testing will ensure the solutions meet responders’ needs while adhering to ethical and legal standards, ultimately setting new benchmarks in disaster management across Europe.
